1. Overview & Commitment
LIFETAG ("we", "our", or "us") provides a specialized Emergency Medical Records (EMR) platform designed to deliver critical, life-saving information to emergency first responders and medical professionals during urgent situations.
We operate with a strict Privacy-First Architecture. We believe medical information is deeply personal, and our platform is engineered so that you retain complete sovereignty over what data is stored, what information is publicly visible on your emergency card, and who is granted access.
Our Core Guarantee
LIFETAG never sells, rents, monetizes, or trades your personal health data to advertising agencies, insurance brokers, or data aggregators under any circumstances.
2. Information We Collect
To provide our emergency profile and QR card services, we collect information that you explicitly choose to submit when registering or managing your account:
- Personal Identity Details: Full name, date of birth, biological sex, blood type, primary language, and profile photo.
- Emergency Medical Profile: Known allergies, chronic conditions, current medications, vital thresholds, organ donor status, and advance directives.
- Emergency Contacts & Kin: Names, phone numbers, relationship designations, and notification settings for designated emergency contacts.
- Document Vault Records: Optional PDF/image uploads such as prescriptions, ECG reports, insurance cards, or physician notes.
- Account & Payment Data: Account email address, encrypted login credentials, and transaction records handled via PCI-compliant payment gateways.
3. Emergency QR & Responder Access
The primary functionality of LIFETAG is to display designated emergency information to paramedics, ER doctors, or bystanders when your unique QR code or link is scanned during an emergency.
By default, emergency profiles accessible via QR code do not require responder password login to ensure immediate, frictionless assistance in life-critical moments. However:
- You can customize exactly which medical fields appear on your public emergency card versus items restricted to authenticated account access.
- Every QR code scan logs time, device metadata, and approximate geo-location.
- Premium plan subscribers receive instant email and SMS notifications whenever their emergency profile is scanned.
4. Security & Encryption
We employ robust enterprise-grade safeguards to protect your records against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:
- Transit Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser, mobile application, and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3).
- Rest Encryption: Database records and uploaded documents are stored encrypted using AES-256 standards.
- Session Integrity: Session management utilizes strict HTTP-only cookies, strict-mode session tokens, and CSRF protection on all form submissions.
5. Third-Party Sharing Policy
We do not share your medical records except in the following necessary operational scenarios:
- First Responders & Medical Personnel: Displaying your designated emergency information when your QR tag is scanned.
- Next of Kin: Giving viewing privileges to individuals you explicitly add to your Next of Kin portal.
- Trusted Infrastructure Providers: Hosting and transactional email partners (e.g. AWS, SendGrid) bound by strict confidentiality and data processing agreements.
- Legal Obligations: Compliance with valid court orders, warrants, or applicable statutory mandates.
6. Next of Kin Access Controls
LIFETAG includes a Next of Kin feature allowing family members to view your emergency records. You maintain full administrative authority to grant, modify, or immediately revoke Kin access privileges at any time from your account settings.
7. Data Ownership & Rights
You have full legal ownership of your health records. At any time, you have the right to:
- Access and export your profile data in standard digital formats.
- Edit, update, or correct medical data instantly via your dashboard.
- Deactivate your emergency QR link to immediately suspend public scan access.
- Request full account and data deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"), which permanently purges your records from our databases.
8. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies necessary for account authentication, security enforcement, and preference storage. We may utilize privacy-respecting analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to analyze aggregate site traffic and optimize performance. No medical profile contents are ever passed to analytics services.
